There is no required text for this course. However, one requirement of this course is to research and present specific text, reference, and reading materials that are related to your senior project.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
For advanced CIT and visual technologies students with interest in creating professional commercial-grade projects. Emphasis is on applying skills learned in the CIT program to commercial projects in the workplace. Students will have opportunity to design or contribute to various private sector (contingent on availability) projects as well as campus Internet, print, and multimedia projects. Many high-end commercial art applications, programming projects, techniques, and technologies will be practiced. Portfolio development will be emphasized. Course is an individual workshop format with one-on-one meetings with the instructor(s) to review project progress. Upon completion, students will have real-world experience and a higher expectation of their own creative talents. Prerequisites: VT 3000 and VT 3100
INSTRUCTOR NOTES:
The Senior project is designed to help the student work through a major project from start to finish. It includes project specification, project planning, project research and learning, reporting project progress, and developing and working on the project.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the completion of this course, the student will be able to understand, discuss, demonstrate and/or explain the following:
- Project definition and specification, scope of work, and needs analysis
- Self directed visual and technical learning process and resources for learning
- Project plan, research, resource assessment, implementation, and review
- Deployment issues, costs, environments, systems, etc.
- Level of personal work on project, work productivity and personal work habits
- Areas of personal technical and management competence and areas of improvement
- Project review and evaluation
Your grade will be based on the percent of the total points which you have earned. Your grade will be composed of the following elements.

87-89% = B+
84-86% = B

77-79% = C+

67-69% = D+
